He had heard stories of how frazzled new parents were during the first days of a child's life. He is used to sleep deprivation and staying up at odd hours. In that sense, his routine has not change.

But now it consists of listening to gentle breathing in the stillness of a room, quiet giggles when he bends to pick her up.

For the second time in his life, Gil Grissom fell in love at first sight.

He sits in a rocking chair, giving Georgia another feeding. And cannot honestly claim to have ever been happier.

"That probably would be best," he says with an answering laugh, hands on Jack's belt. "But I'd invest in some firm pillows first."

"Wuss," he teases and kisses Gil's stomach.

"Pardon me for---" a sharp hiss "--not wishing to sprain my back."

Turnabout's fair play and Gil's hands go exploring.

"Oh, my love, I'd protect you. Take good care of you. Not twist you in possible directions." He smirks. "Mostly."

"My hero," he says dryly, before moving down and finding a far better application for his mouth.

Jack hisses and his body arches, and his hands thrust into Gil's hair.

Whenever he focuses his attention on something, he strives to be thorough.

Needless to say, very good things are happening to Jack right now. Gil has a talented tongue.

Jack loves Gil's tongue. Jack loves many things about Gil but his tongue is right up there right now.

Normally he'd follow through, but he has something else in mind, and gradually eases off.

He kisses Jack hungrily. "In me. And don't hold back."

Jack turns Gil onto his back without question, kissing him deeply, and breaks off only long enough to find some lubricant and prepare Gil's body.

He groans, louder than he intended, when Jack pushes in and begins to move.

He loves the pleasurepain, the slight burn, the overwhelming connection.

It's deep, messy, and wonderful. Gil sucks Jack's tongue into his mouth, once again proving most inventive in usage.

"Come for me," he breathes, lips attacking his neck.

"Mm, yes," Jack moans with a shudder and it takes only a few more strokes for him to do just that.

They lay there, exhausted but content, Gil keeping an ear out for Georgia.

She seems to have inherited Jack's ability to sleep through a supersonic blast.

Well, she is his daughter.

Jack curls up around Gil, humming in satisfaction.

"We should take a shower," he murmurs at some point, though he really isn't inspired to move.

"Mmm . . . soon. Not yet. You smell good."

[gris_bug_man]

"You feel wonderful."

[jack_inthegreen]

"Mm," Jack hums again and kisses Gil's neck.

They can shower later.
